Visiting someone by our first apartment at Camaldoli. Then I go out and try to walk up the steps of the neighbors house but the first few steps are missing and I slide on the gravely asphalt, then get to the steps, realize it’s not where I want to go, turn around and slide down the ramp of missing steps, wondering why they made it like that. I go toward the road but stop and curl down to the curb in the rain, pulling my grey hooded jacket down over my back. I cry so hard that I wake up.
