Dark blue plums on the trees. This is a second crop. I want to eat them but my landlord tells me they are no good. I feel he’s lying and when he’s not there, I carefully lock the inside just a little, but because I’m not sure if he’s actually telling the truth, I spit a little. Then he comes back and I ask him what would happen if I took a taste, he said they are poison.
Then we walk to the next set of trees and they have yellow pears on them and the bottoms of the pears are turning brown.
